The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a data regulation policy in Europe that regulates the way organizations collect and use personal data of individuals. It is therefore of paramount importance to any organization or person dealing with personal data to thoroughly know the rules and regulations of the GDPR and enforce them.
The new GDPR has been in implementation since May, 2018 in companies, government agencies, non-profits, and other organizations that offer services to people or collect data from residents. Such organizations need data protection officers who can ably incorporate the new GDPR laws and ensure compliance.
